Crispy honey chilli wings
Venue: Bad Apples
Ingredients
- 1kg Chiken wings
- 1 cup Blue Moon Belgian White Ale
- 1 tbsp White pepper (grounded)
- 1 ½ tbsp Rock salt (grounded)
- Corn Flour
- Oil for deep frying
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 5 Dried chillis
- 2 Sliced garlic cloves
- ½ cup Soy Sauce
- ½ cup Corn Syrup
- ¼ cup Water
- ¼ cup Castor sugar
- 1 tbsp Honey
Preparation
- Trim chicken wings and place in a mixing bowl
- Pour in Blue Moon Belgian White Ale and add grounded salt and pepper
- Leave wings in mixture overnight (12hrs min)
- Drain the wings and coat with corn flour.
- Heat frying oil to 180 degrees Celsius and fry the wings for about 7 mins
- Remove wings and drain any oil
- Heat 1tbsp olive oil in a frying pan add garlic and chilli, fry until garlic starts to turn brown
- Add remaining ingredients (soy sauce, corn syrup, water, castor sugar & honey) simmer 3 mins
- Mix the crispy fried wings with the sauce
Serve with an ice cold Blue Moon Belgian White!
